Sweet Potato Powerhouse
The Vitamin A, and C powerhouse sweet potato is in high rotation at our house because everyone loves the sweet flavour and the texture is comfortable even for the youngest of palates.

Before becoming an allergy aware family, we often frequented bulk food stores for purchasing spices and other kitchen staples. However, due to the cross-contamination potential, we sometimes stick with pre-made seasoning that is guaranteed peanut and milk free. I have called Club House several times to inquiry about different products and this has been declared SosiSafe (it’s also Gluten Free)! I would caution to always check with companies before using their products since they can change their production facilities or ingredients at anytime. Tex Mex Sweet Potato fries recipe!
Easy Sweet Potato Fries (Tex Mex flavour)
There easy sweet potato fries are fast to make and taste delicious!
- 4 medium sweet potatoes (yams also work)
- 2 TBSP Club House 'tex mex' seasoning
- 1 TBSP Olive Oil
- 1/2 TSP Salt and pepper (to taste)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut your sweet potatoes into bite size bits, or slice them into fry style pieces. Your cooking time will vary depending on how thick you slice'm.
Grease the pan with half of the olive oil. I prefer to use glass baking pans, the edges tend to crisp up more evenly and I like to avoid using products with non-stick applications.
Place the sliced sweet potatoes into the pan. Evenly spread the spices on top, coating evenly. Add the rest of the olive oil and give it one more good stir. (The seasoning is good but it's not fun to get a fry coated with spice).
Bake for 20 minutes. Flip the fries. Return to over for another 20 minutes. The fries should be done at this time but as we know all ovens are different so keep watch. If they are crispy on the outside you are good to go.
Serve with your favourite tangy mayonnaise dip. A quick dip I like to make includes mayonnaise, maple syrup, and Cholula hot sauce.
