Teal Pumpkin Project Non-Food Treat Ideas
If you are looking for some fun Teal Pumpkin Project® ideas – look no further!
These Non-Food treats are perfect for Halloween! These were all found from our local dollar store and the variety seemed endless. There are tons of options here for children who are looking for Non-Food trick-or-treat items. This collection shows a selection for children 3+ (as labelled) on each package. The only exception being the PlayDoh® which states it is for children 2+. PlayDoh® is not a Top 8 Allergen Free option (as it contains wheat) but I just make sure to double check with the child and their parent before they grab one from the teal pumpkin bucket.
A little History
The Teal Pumpkin Project started back in 2012, in Tennessee. An allergy mom decided to paint one of her pumpkins a beautiful blue-green colour as she who was preparing for a Halloween Non-Food treat event. Little did she know she was starting a new tradition to help include food allergy children on October 31st!

How to Stretch out Your Dollar Store Finds
I like to stretch out our Non-Food “treats” so each child has several options, no matter what time of night they arrive at our house. I usually separate the purchases into individual pieces and allow the kidlets to take a few choices. Separating the stickers into sheets and cutting the tattoos (not pictured) into separate items helps the options go a little further. The pencils, erasers, notepads, rings, and bracelets are easy to separate for sharing with the excited kidlets knocking on your door.
