Cabbage Roll Soup

Cabbage Roll Soup

Cabbage roll soup is an easy to make, delicious to devour, all season meal.

Cabbage Roll Soup

This meal is great for babies*, toddlers, and adults. The cooked cabbage has an excellent consistency for little ones that are learning to manipulate adult meals. This meal is peanut free, with no dairy, and only contains ingredients that you can pronounce (real food)! Cabbage roll soup is great for busy nights when you have limited time, but you still want to prepare a healthy, warm dinner from scratch.

We really like this meal anytime of the year. It is an especially awesome meal on rainy camping days when you need to warm up! I like to precook the beef, drain it, and then freeze it to make this meal even easier to prepare. I am not going to lie though, we are definitely, “glampers” so we have the convenience of a freezer during our trips.

Why is Cabbage Roll Soup so good for you?

According to eatrightontario.ca, “Vegetables from the cabbage family may help protect against certain cancers, while also being a source of vitamin K and fibre.”

Cabbage Roll Soup Easy Toddler Meal the whole family will enjoy! What is fibre?

Fibre is a non-digestible carbohydrate found in plant foods. It is an important part of a healthy diet and plays many roles in the body. Fibre may help:

  • Bowel regularity
  • Lower blood cholesterol levels
  • You feel full longer**

When parents are starting to introduce new foods to their children, it can sometimes cause constipation as little bowels can be sensitive or not quite ready to digest the new foods. It is important to include foods such as cabbage, since they promote bowel regularity.
