Deliciously dense with just a hint of vanilla flavouring, this cake is what dairy free dreams are made of. With the careful selection of the best ingredients, this cake is also peanut free!
Preheat the over to 350° Fahrenheit.
Mix all the dry ingredients (save the chocolate chips) together in a large mixing bowl.
Slowly add the liquid ingredients to the dry, mixing well. Stir in the chocolate chips right at the end.
Sprinkle the flour on the base of the pan. Make sure to also include some on the sides to avoid the batter from sticking.
Slowly pour the batter into the 11 x 7 x 1.5 inch pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Carefully remove the cake from the oven. Use a toothpick to check if the cake has finished baking. Place the toothpick straight down into the centre of the cake, if it comes out "clean", then your cake my friend is done!
Allow to fully cool before adding icing or storing in the fridge.
